How do I join a workshop?

We will email you the joining links of the workshop that you have booked.

Each and every workshop will have a separate joining link, which would simplify the joining process.

It will be as simple as click on the link and join the workshop.

How do I join a Microsoft Teams session?

You do not need to have downloaded Microsoft Teams app, as you can join via a web browser.

For detailed information please see https://bit.ly/2Lez01D

If you are not familiar with using this form of communication, we can help you with this process; please email us at mksendias@milton-keynes.com

Which name should I use when joining a workshop?

It is very important that you join the meeting using the name you have used at the time of booking.

Using nicknames or aliases unknown to the moderator might cause delay in joining in or removal from a live session.

Who can I contact on the day, if the joining link doesn’t work?

With each and every workshop link, we will provide you with the contact details of a staff member. You can contact them directly if there are any issues with joining the session.

How do I join a Zoom session?

Before joining a Zoom meeting on a computer or mobile device, you can download the Zoom app from https://zoom.us/download

If you don't already have the (free) software installed, you will be prompted to download and install Zoom when you click a join link.

For detailed information please see  https://bit.ly/3hZmPBC.

We recommend joining via a laptop or desktop computer.

COVID Announcement

It is with regret that we have had to make the difficult decision of switching the format of this year’s MK SEND Information Festival back to being fully online instead of the hybrid schedule announced earlier.

The two-day Festival which was originally planned around online workshops on Day 1 and in-person activities taking place on Day 2 (at The Ridgeway Centre) will now switch to being fully online on both days.

The dates however have not changed, and the event will still go ahead on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th February 2022.

This was necessary due to the ongoing uncertainty about the spread of COVID-19 especially the new variant and the number of people testing positive and having to isolate on short notices.

You can download and read the full Special Event Notice here.

Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.
